Omnilude Terms and Policies

Privacy Policy

Omnilude processes and securely manages only the personal information needed for account protection, continuity of the reading experience, AI-assisted features, payments, and customer support.

Article 1 Effective date and scope of application

The last update and effective date of this Privacy Policy is August 13, 2026.

This policy applies to Omnilude web novels, file viewer, story quizzes, mysteries, studio, asset creation, accounts, payments, and customer support features.

If separate notices or consent are provided on individual feature screens, those notices will also apply. If there is a conflict between legally required notices or individual notices and this policy, the laws and individual notices will take precedence.

Article 2 Personal Information We Process

Account InformationWe may process your email address for member identification, login, security notifications, and service announcements. Depending on how you log in or your account settings, we may also process your display name, profile image, and basic profile information passed by your authentication provider.
Reading and usage historyService usage information such as recently read works, reading progress, number of episodes viewed, favorites and interest indications, language and screen settings, content response, story quiz progress and results, and mystery play history may be processed.
Browser storage informationWhile using the site without logging in, information such as recently read works, reading progress, local file reference information, language and screen settings may be stored in the user's browser storage, including cookies, localStorage, and IndexedDB.
Technical informationCookies, IP address, browser and device information, access date and time, request path, referrer, error log, and approximate location information may be processed to maintain sessions, security checks, error analysis, and prevent unauthorized use.
Content entered or uploaded by usersMaterials entered or uploaded by users, such as work manuscripts, episode text, setting materials, images and assets, quiz answers, chat and notes, prompts, and inquiry content, may be processed for the purpose of providing functions, storing, disclosing, reviewing, and customer support.
AI feature inputs and resultsAI features such as automatic summarization, quiz creation and grading, mystery conversations, production assistance, and image and asset creation allow processing of selected text, input sentences, conversation context, attachments, creation results, processing status, and metadata required for cost estimation.
Payment and rights informationWhen using paid content, points, membership, or refund functions, order number, purchase history, usage rights, point usage history, refund request details, payment processing identifier, and some display information of payment method may be processed.
Inquiry and reporting informationIf a user sends an inquiry, report, claim of infringement, or exercise of privacy rights, the email address, inquiry content, attached materials, and processing records required to respond may be processed.

Article 3 Purpose of processing personal information

Account and service provisionIt is used for member identification, login processing, account-related information, security notifications, support for exercising rights, viewing and continuing content, maintaining settings, and customer support.
Operation of content and creative functionsIt is used for web-novel reading, the local file viewer, story quizzes, mysteries, studio and asset creation, saving and publishing works, review, and service operations.
AI-assisted featuresIt is used for summarizing, explaining, translating, creating and grading quizzes, interactive reasoning, refining prompts, generating images and assets, checking result quality, handling errors, and estimating usage.
No analytics or advertising useWe do not use or transfer usage records or personal information for third-party analytics, behavioral advertising, advertising performance measurement, or campaign operation. Internal operations, security, and error response required to provide the service may be performed separately.
Security and fraud preventionWe use it to detect and respond to abnormal access, automation, rights violations, payment abuse, spam, unauthorized crawling, and service failures and errors.
Payment, refund, settlementIt is used to provide paid content, manage points and membership, confirm purchases, process refunds, issue and retrieve rights, and provide settlement and accounting evidence.
Notice and Compliance with Legal ObligationsIt is used for service changes, changes to terms and conditions, policy changes, failure and security information, legal storage and submission obligations, and dispute response.

Article 4 Retention period and destruction

Personal information will be destroyed without delay when the purpose of collection and use has been achieved, the retention period has expired, consent has been withdrawn, or account deletion has been requested, except in cases where storage is required by law.

Member email and account information will be retained for as long as necessary to maintain the account and provide services. Content, creations, AI results, play records, purchases and rights information saved or uploaded by users are stored for the period necessary to provide the relevant functions, respond to disputes, and retain them in accordance with the law.

Records necessary for e-commerce, payment, refund, tax, accounting, and dispute response may be stored separately for the period specified in relevant laws and regulations.

Personal information in electronic files is deleted so that recovery or reproduction is difficult, and paper records are shredded or destroyed by an equivalent method.

Article 5 Provision and processing entrusted to third parties

Personal information is processed within the scope of the purpose notified, and is not provided to third parties except with the user's consent, on legal grounds, or through entrustment of processing necessary for service provision.

To provide and operate the service, we may entrust processing to hosting, security and log management, authentication, email delivery, storage and CDN, AI providers, payment processors, and customer support tools.

If there are many trustees or recipients or they change frequently, we can provide information on the type of provider and confirmation route. The actual consignee, processing scope, storage period, and overseas transfer can be updated in the service notice, settings screen, consignee list, or separate guidance.

Article 6 External Services and Tracking Tools Not Used

Advertising networksWe do not use third-party advertising networks such as Google AdSense and do not collect or send advertising cookies, advertising identifiers, impressions, clicks, or conversion information.

Article 7 Possibility of overseas transfer

Servers or operations of external hosting, AI, payment, email, and security providers may be located outside the Republic of Korea.

In the event of an international transfer, matters required by law, such as items to be transferred, country of transfer, recipient of transfer, transfer date and method, storage period, method of refusal, etc. are managed so that they can be confirmed in the relevant function notice or trustee information.

If a user refuses to transfer overseas, the use of some functions linked to the relevant external provider may be restricted.

Article 8 Cookies and Browser Storage

Browser storage technologies such as cookies, localStorage, and IndexedDB may be used to continue reading without signing in, retain basic settings, perform security checks, and respond to errors.

We do not use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics or advertising and do not send visit, behavior, or advertising-response information to third-party analytics or advertising providers.

You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing so may reset sign-in status, reading progress, language and display settings, and other functional information stored in that browser.

Article 9 Data processing in the AI function

The AI function can process user-entered text, selected episodes or body parts, conversation content, prompts, attachments, and generated results. Some features may transmit this information to external AI providers.

Users should not enter information that is unnecessary for using the service, such as resident registration number, account number, password, health information, or other people's sensitive personal information, into the AI function.

Whether AI inputs and results are used for model training, how to opt out of such use, retention periods, and each provider's processing methods are explained further in feature-specific notices or processor disclosures. Omnilude does not sell users' manuscripts or private creative works for public model training without separate consent.

Article 10 Local files and uploaded content

Local files selected in the file viewer are not uploaded to the server by default in a normal read flow. However, if the user explicitly selects server storage, AI processing, public publishing, backup, or studio functions, the original text or derived data may be processed to provide those functions.

Manuscripts, images, assets, quizzes, answers, chats, and notes uploaded or created by users are stored depending on the account and function scope, and materials that have been set to public may be exposed to other users.

Omnilude does not claim ownership of content uploaded by users. We may process it only as needed to provide, store, transform, display, review, and respond to reports concerning the service.

Article 11 User rights and methods of exercise

View, correct, delete, stop processingUsers may request to view, correct, delete, suspend processing, or withdraw consent for their personal information. Deletion or suspension of processing of information that requires storage by law may be restricted.
Manage browser storage informationReading history and settings saved as a non-member can be deleted directly using the browser's cookie and site data deletion functions.
Optional cookie consentBecause we do not use optional analytics or advertising cookies, we do not provide a separate accept-or-reject banner or setting.
Requests concerning AI results and automated processingIf you believe an AI result is inaccurate or inappropriate, you may report it or request review, deletion, or an appeal. If automated processing significantly affects your rights, you may request an explanation or review.
How to exercise your rightsYou can exercise these rights by emailing the privacy officer at omnilude@gmail.com. After verifying your identity, Omnilude processes the request within the period and by the method prescribed by law.

Article 12 Children’s personal information

Functions that process personal information of children under the age of 14 follow procedures required by law, such as consent from legal representatives.

If a child's personal information appears to have been collected improperly, the legal representative or user may request deletion by emailing the privacy officer at omnilude@gmail.com.

Article 13 Personal information protection measures

Personal information is collected to the minimum extent necessary and protected through access rights management, encryption of information requiring encryption, access record management, log inspection, and internal security procedures.

When entrusting processing to an external trustee, necessary protective measures are required, such as prohibition of use for other purposes, access control, storage period, re-consignment management, and incident response.

Users must use an email address that they actually have access to, and must manage browser storage, cookies, automatic login, and local file storage on shared devices.

Article 14 Privacy Officer and Policy Changes

Omnilude appoints the following privacy officer to oversee personal information processing and handle privacy inquiries, complaints, remedies, and requests to exercise rights.

You may use the contact information above to request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, withdrawal of consent, review of AI results, deletion of children’s information, or to report an infringement.

This policy may be updated as services and laws change, features are added, or trustees change. Changes that have a significant impact on user rights will be notified through a notice within the service or a separate notice before or immediately after implementation.

Operational changes that are less likely to infringe rights, such as a list of trustees performing the same tasks, can be guided by aggregating changes over a period of time.

External processors needed for AI, payments, hosting, and other service functions are disclosed separately for their specific purposes and scope.
