Omnilude Terms and Policies

Terms of Service

Review the rules on accounts, payments, content rights, prohibited conduct, and use restrictions that apply to web novels, the file viewer, story quizzes, mysteries, and studio features.

Article 1 Purpose and Application

The last update and effective date of these Terms and Conditions is August 13, 2026.

These Terms set the conditions for using the web novels, file viewer, story quizzes, mysteries, studio, asset creation, accounts, payments, and related services provided by Omnilude operator Jongmin Kim.

By accessing or using the service, the user is deemed to have agreed to these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, consent to receive and use marketing, and individual feature notices.

If separate terms and conditions or notices are provided on the individual service screen, such notices will apply together with these terms and conditions. In case of conflict, statutory mandatory provisions, individual paid service terms and conditions, and these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.

Article 3 Account and Eligibility for Use

To use member features, users must provide information requested by the operator, such as an email address they can access. Users must keep their account information accurate and current.

Users are responsible for managing their account, authentication methods, sessions, and payment methods. They must not transfer, lend, or share their account or allow it to be used improperly.

If you use another person's name, email, authentication information, or payment method without permission or provide false information, the operator may restrict use of your account or terminate the contract.

Article 4 Service provision and changes

Services are provided on an as-is and available basis. Although the operator strives to provide the service reliably, the operator does not guarantee that all functions will be provided without interruption or operate without errors at all times.

Features, screens, content arrangement, prices, and service scope may be changed, suspended, or discontinued due to operational needs, legal changes, security risks, or the need to protect rights.

Free functions, trial functions, local storage-based functions, and functions linked to external providers may be changed or usage records may be lost without prior notice.

Article 5 Content rights and permission to use

The fact that content can be viewed on the service does not mean that the user is granted ownership of the content, right of reproduction, right of distribution, right of transmission, right of creation of derivative works, or right of commercial use.

The work information, provider, and rights indication are for convenience of use, and the operator does not guarantee the legality, completeness, up-to-dateness, or continued availability of all content.

In the event of a rights holder report, legal request, suspected policy violation, or service operation necessity, the operator may suspend exposure, delete, restrict access, or restrict use of the content without prior notice.

Article 6 User data and rights guarantee

Users warrant that all materials they enter, upload, store, view, generate, process with AI, share, or publish through the service were created by them, lawfully obtained, or covered by the necessary permissions and licenses.

Before uploading or viewing documents or materials in the file viewer, personal library, studio, or AI functions, users must ensure that they have the legal right to use such materials.

Users must not use unauthorized copies, illegally shared or leaked copies, DRM-circumvention materials, another person's unpublished manuscript, materials whose source or rights are unclear, or materials for training, analysis, or transformation without the rights holder's permission.

Users are responsible for any infringements, disputes, claims, damages, costs, and sanctions arising from user materials or usage practices. If the operator suffers damage or receives a claim, the user must defend, compensate, and indemnify the operator to the extent permitted by law.

Article 7 Local file processing

The file viewer is designed so that local files selected by the user are not uploaded to the server or published publicly during the normal reading flow.

However, if the user selects a separate function such as server storage, AI processing, public publication, backup, or studio linkage, the original or derived data may be processed to the extent necessary to provide the function.

The operator does not routinely inspect private local files or personal archives. However, the operator may review or act to the extent necessary in response to reports, legal requests, public publishing, AI processing, security risks, or signs of service abuse.

The fact that a file is not uploaded to the server does not eliminate the user's copyright responsibility. Users are solely responsible for possessing, viewing, converting, summarizing, analyzing, transforming, or sending illegal copies through other features.

Article 8 Prohibited Activities

Rights infringementInfringing on, or inducing, aiding, or concealing infringement of other people's copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, personal information, trade secrets, or contractual rights is prohibited.
Service AbuseScraping, crawling, automation, bulk requests, access circumvention, reverse engineering, vulnerability probing, abnormal traffic, and circumvention of charges or access restrictions are prohibited.
Operational disruptionConduct that harms or may harm service stability, security, settlement, protection of rights, or other users’ experience is prohibited.
Illegal/harmful useAny use related to illegal activities, fraud, defamation, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, violation of the protection of minors, malware, phishing, or illegal transactions is prohibited.

Article 9 Measures against service abuse

The operator may take necessary measures without prior notice in the event of a violation of the terms and conditions, suspected violation, report, request by the right holder, legal request, security risk, payment risk, repeated complaint, or service abuse.

Measures may include warnings, content removal, suspension of visibility, feature restrictions, restrictions on reading, uploading, generation, payments, or community use, session termination, account restrictions, blocking of devices, browsers, IP addresses, or payment methods, and limits on re-registration or future use.

If a user uploads, distributes, publicly publishes, processes through AI, or provides copyright-infringing or illegal materials to other users, the operator may restrict the account or terminate the agreement.

Restrictions may be temporary or permanent. If there are repeated violations, attempted circumvention, or if the operator determines that there is a significant infringement, security or operational risk, the operator may immediately impose permanent restrictions.

Article 11 Service Notices and Content Display

The service may display operational notices, information about Omnilude services, and editor-selected related content. It does not display third-party advertising-network ads or behaviorally targeted advertising.

If marketing-related service information is sent by email, app push, browser notification, text message, or another electronic channel, legally required prior consent and unsubscribe procedures will be provided.

Article 12 Limitation of Liability

The operator is not liable for damages caused by reasons beyond the reasonable control of the operator, such as natural disasters, communication failures, external service failures, reasons attributable to users, rights holder requests, legal restrictions, or security emergency measures.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, business losses, data losses, lost opportunities, or damages arising from third-party disputes.

The limitations of liability in these terms and conditions do not apply in cases where liability cannot be excluded due to the operator's intent or gross negligence or statutory liability.

Article 13 Changes to Terms and Conditions

The operator may change these terms and conditions in accordance with relevant laws, service structure, rights protection needs, security risks, and operating policies.

For important changes, the date of application, content of change, and reason for change will be notified on the service screen or in a separate notice. Changes that are disadvantageous or important to users will be notified with a sufficient grace period to the extent possible.

If you continue to use the service after the effective date of the changed terms and conditions, you will be deemed to have agreed to the changed terms and conditions. Users who do not agree may stop using the service or request account deletion.

Article 14 Governing Law and Disputes

These terms and conditions and use of the Service are subject to the laws of the Republic of Korea.

If a dispute arises regarding the use of the service, the operator and user will first try to resolve it through sincere consultation.

Disputes that cannot be resolved through consultation shall be subject to the competent courts or procedures prescribed by relevant laws and regulations.
